•   Prepare plans of the activity of the center and follow up implementation after approval.
  •    The administrative and technical supervision to the organizing units of the center, and coordinate between them to guarantee integrity between its activities and the maximum benefit from the available capabilities. 
  •  Coordinating with the National Center for Documents and Archives in all related matters to the application of the Documents and Archives System and its implementing regulations, especially what is related to the deportation and destruction of documents and archives.
  •    Suggesting technical regulations, rules and regulating procedures for work maintaining at the university in accordance with the documents and archives system and its implementing regulations and following up their implementation after their approval.
  •    Issuing, updating and following up the application of work procedures manuals in the activity of administrative communications, documents and archives at the university in accordance with the documents and archives system and its implementing regulations.
  •     Supervising the receiving of all incoming and outgoing transactions and correspondences to/from the university, receiving and completing their registration and referral procedures to the specialized units inside and outside the university.
  •    Supervising the work of responding to inquiries from beneficiaries and directing them with regard to incoming and outgoing correspondences.
  •     Preparing places for maintaining documents and ensuring them with appropriate safety tools.
  •   Supervising the circulation of written means of communication (incoming, outgoing and circulars).
  •   Supervising the reception of inactive university documents and archives transferred from the organizational units, organizing, preserving and maintaining them, and identifying the method of handling them in accordance with the documents and archives system and its implementing regulations.
  •   Suggesting the formation of the permanent committee for documents in the university and other related committees to the activity of documents and archives and approved them by the university president.
  •     Coordination and cooperation with other similar centers in order to take benefit from their expertise.
  •  Suggesting the appropriate systems and devices for the requirements of keeping the university's documents and archives on recent technology media, operating and maintaining them in coordination with the relevant organizational units.
  •   Supervising the conversion of the university's documents and archives to modern technical storage media and electronic document management programs (DMS).   Participating to publish the awareness of the importance of the activity of documents and archives at the university through coordination with the relevant organized units.
  •   Participating to identify the performance measurement indicators relevant with the business of the center and review and develop them periodically after approval them.
  •    Identify the training needs of the employees of the center, to candidate them for the appropriate training programs.
  •    Prepare periodical reports about the activity, achievements of the center and the suggestions to development performance.
  •     Any other tasks at limits of specializations.
