Tasks:
1.Conduct a comprehensive inventory of all documents and records within the government entity and classify them according to type, importance, and administrative, legal, or historical value.
2. Determine retention periods for documents across different departments in accordance with the regulations of the National Center for Archives and Records.
3. Assess the scientific and historical value of documents to determine which should be permanently preserved and which may be disposed of after the retention period.
4. Review retention schedules and ensure their alignment with approved regulations, policies, and standards.
5. Propose amendments to retention periods for certain documents when necessary and submit recommendations to the competent authorities for approval.
6. Prepare document appraisal reports and document the results of sorting, classification, retention, and disposal processes.
7. Transfer documents of permanent value to the National Center for Archives and Records for permanent preservation.
8. Apply the document appraisal regulations and comply with all instructions issued by the National Center regarding retention and disposal.
9. Monitor the implementation of appraisal tasks by internal departments, ensure adherence to approved retention periods, and prevent premature disposal of any document.
10. Ensure the confidentiality of documents during sorting, appraisal, and transfer to the National Center.
11. Supervise archiving processes paper or electronic and ensure the integrity of documents during storage.
12. Provide the National Center with any reports or data requested related to documents subject to appraisal.
